Stopped by this evening for dinner at Antonucci's. Sunny was the amazing server and had a terrific smile and excellent customer service. I started with a small cesar salad and a glass of Malbec. Sunny also brought out some fresh bread and once again was pleasant, kind and professional. The Ambiance was soft, quiet and positive. I ordered the spaghetti with marinara sauce, meatballs and sausage. Shay was also quite wonderful and brought out my entree nicely presented and she also offered some grated cheese which I gladly accepted. Shay was also pleasant, kind and a wonderful person. I sat alone reflecting on my mom who I lost two weeks ago and these two wonderful servers made my meal a pleasant experience and I so appreciated their kindness. Highly recommended
oMG the food is served with love, you have to have bartender Anna from Ukraine ... everything's she suggests and iserves is magical Even the staff loves his food so much that on Their day off order DoorDash! Tonight, after dinner, ANA was surrounded with love by the staff and friends For her birthday. Wanted to give a shoutout to Antonnuci's for the wonderful lunch I had there with my wife. We kicked things off with a fantastic bruschetta that was perfectly toasted . The chicken Parmesan was cooked to perfection and the spaghetti was flavored with what appeared to be olive oil , which I appreciated because I'm not a big fan of marinara sauce. Additionally the tiramisu was quite well done both presentation and taste wise. Grateful to our server for her kindness and patience as we made up our minds. The ambiance reflected a large pizza parlor with a back room ideal for private events.would highly recommend this place for either events or a happy hour
My fiancé and I went to Antonucci's to celebrate our engagement and also to see if this restaurant would make a good setting for our post wedding casual lunch celebration. The service was outstanding. It was our first time visiting so the server told us we would get a house made tiramisu on the house. Such a pleasant surprise! I ordered a Margherita pizza and my fiancé ordered rigatoni. We were brought some bread before the meal. The food came out fairly quickly.. not too long of a wait. The food was still hot which is just how I like it. I loved the pizza-- it was one of the best I've had. My fiancé really enjoyed his rigatoni also. I had a bite and it was delicious. Food was 10/10. Only downside was I ordered a Sprite and it tasted more like sparkling water (which I do not like) than Sprite. It was missing its normal sugary flavor. So I was disappointed by the drink. Don't know if it normally tastes that way like if it's house made "Sprite" or if something was off with their Sprite. I didn't want to complain so I didn't mention it to the staff since everything else was so great and it was just a beverage so not a huge deal. The tiramisu was amazing! Perfect size for the two of us to share. Tasted like classic tiramisu and was served with whipped cream on the side. Delicious. We had a wonderful experience and would love to come back for our after wedding lunch! (:
The food is incredible! I've had the pleasure of dining here on a few occasions with my family and it never disappoints. We came for the Mother's Day brunch most recently. The current owner is a generous person who opens early every Thursday for our Realtor group and they feed us incredible breakfast pizzas and croissant sandwiches. I'm not a pizza crust person, but theirs is crispy and full of flavor. The staff is always smiling and accommodating and the rooms are cozy without being stuffy. I wish I could give them 10 stars. P.S. To the person who said there's way too much garlic - it's Italian food! What do you expect? Yeesh.
My friends are Italian so we came to an Italian restaurant for lunch. Antonucci's claims to be the oldest Italian restaurant in Mission Viejo, established in 1976 but you will find French on the menu too. It is the only Italian restaurant I know that is open for breakfast in the neighborhood. I like how this place is decorated: simple, pleasant, inviting, and comfortable. There are many dishes on the menu I wanted to try. I had a hard time deciding between Calamari Saltari or Agnello Ragu. Finally ordered the lamb shank in the end. The lamb was well prepared, juicy and tasty, very satisfying. We ordered a lemoncello cake for dessert and it was a nice ending to it all. Antonucci's has a lounge/bar next door that offers happy hour menu between 2pm to 6pm daily. For a place with good food and good service, it is a mystery to me why it is not packed with people.
Antonucci's reminds me of the go-to local Italian restaurants that I grew up with. It's an unassuming restaurant in a small shopping center with friendly staff and solid pasta dishes. My wife and I tried the specials, Cajun Chicken & Shrimp Pasta and Handmade Spinach Ravioli in Vodka Sauce, and our kids had Fettuccine Alfredo. The pasta was fresh and the sauces were flavorful. Our kids even asked if we can come back here again while in the middle of their dinner I think Antonucci's will become our new local Italian spot.
Came here for breakfast and the menu has a French flair that appeals to savory and sweet fans. The waiters were friendly, it was clean and not too loud. I had the Eggs Benedict and the eggs were perfectly poached underneath the Hollandaise sauce. My husband liked his egg bacon platter and pan perdu (French toast made from baguette). My daughter liked her strawberry Nutella crepes. The price points are comparable to other breakfast spots.
First time here and was great! My husband ordered the brushetta and said it was better than what he has had in Italy! Yeah very fresh and bread was perfect! Dinner: My husband ordered the Mona Lisa dish and was really impressed and said it is so good! And love the presentation of each dish too! I ordered the gluten free pizza dough with goat cheese. There was a little bit of a mistake with my order because I confirmed with the waitress if the cheese on the pizza is goat cheese and not mozzarella cheese because I also can't have certain cheeses, cause it bothers my stomach. So when the pizza came out, it had mozzarella cheese on it. So she apologized and they made the pizza again and she said they need to change that on the menu. So hopefully they will change that on the menu because every thing else listed under pizza listed out mozzarella cheese, except this one. I kinda was hoping that she would've thrown in the bruschetta for free for the mistake but that didn't happen but otherwise we didn't have a great time and the service was great. Very charming restaurant and lovely !
Now Open for Breakfast! Excellent overall. Breakfast menu from 8 am - 2 pm! Their breakfast menu is the same as LuLu's restaurant (Closed down a few weeks ago). If you were a regular at Lulu's like we were, this is the place to go. Alicia Pkwy and Muirlands Blvd. They also do catering, or you can use Uber Eats, DoorDash, Grub Hub. Today it was only their 2nd day of breakfast, so it was pretty empty. Sunday around 9 am. Plenty of parking. Plenty of seating inside. A few spots outside. Our sever was Marlene, she provided an awesome service as usual, superb attitude, great attention to detail, very friendly, and attentive. The cook was Abbat, excellent flavor, plates looked neat and well prepared. Prices are really good compared to other restaurants, high quality food and ingredients, and good quantity. Excellent experience overall. Our new after church breakfast place!
